  • One of the best parts about staying at Langmeil Cottages is how close you are to some fantastic cellar doors.

    • Michael Hall Wines – A boutique cellar door producing elegant Barossa wines in a beautiful historic barn. Show your cottage keys or mention that you are staying with us for a complimentary tasting!

    • Langmeil Winery – Located just moments away, Langmeil Winery is home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world and offers a wonderful tasting experience.

    • Peter Lehmann Wines – A true Barossa icon with a beautiful cellar door and wide range of wines that showcase the region.

  • Tanunda is home to incredible restaurants and dining, with many of these options just a short distance from the cottages. Some of our favourites include:

    • FermentAsian – One of the Barossa’s most celebrated restaurants, serving asian cuisine using fresh local produce. It’s a favourite for dinner and well worth booking ahead!

    • Vino Lokal – A relaxed wine bar on Murray Street known for seasonal dishes and a local wine list. If you’re staying with us for the weekend, don’t miss their Friday knock-offs with local winemakers!

    • Char Barossa – A popular restaurant specialising in premium steaks and char-grilled dishes, perfect for a relaxed dinner after a day of wine tasting. 

    • 1918 Bistro & Grill – A classic Barossa restaurant located in a historic building, serving modern Australian cuisine with local produce. A great spot to cosy up by the fire in winter.

    • The Clubhouse – A relaxed, family friendly spot for causal dining. Enjoy live music on weekends!

  • Tanunda’s cafes are only a short drive or walk from Langmeil Cottages, making it easy to pick up fresh bread, pastries or coffee before heading out to explore the Barossa’s wineries and scenic drives.

    • Apex Bakery – We highly recommend picking up a fresh loaf of bread here for your stay. Enjoy delicious sourdough, pastries, pies and great takeaway breakfast options.  

    • Four Seasons of Nosh – A local favourite serving generous breakfasts, great coffee and seasonal dishes.

    • Darling’s Food With Passion – A lively cafe that’s popular with both locals and visitors.

    • Coco Kitchen – If you feel like a short drive to Angaston, Coco Kitchen is known for creative brunch dishes, great coffee and friendly service.

    • Barossa Farmers Market – If you’re visiting for the weekend, this is a must-visit. Held on Saturday mornings, discover incredible local produce, artisan foods, pastries and coffee from regional producers. It’s a great way to meet the producers and pick up supplies for breakfast or a picnic. 

    • Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop – One of the Barossa’s most iconic food destinations. The farm shop sells Maggie Beer’s produce alongside seasonal local goods, wines and gourmet treats. Enjoy coffee, grazing boards or lunch at the eatery overlooking the lake.

  • The Barossa hosts wonderful events throughout the year including wine festivals, long lunches, live music and seasonal markets.
